...and now he's gone. i feel bad about that.

how is it that a seemingly healthy guy can just go down all of a sudden, but the ugly, wretched, fetid fox news personnel just keep living and spewing poison even after they get cancer and everything else? it's just not fair.

1. i think a lot of us did but his passing is sad, he lived for election night and now
he won't be here for it, no matter how much i bitched about him election night won't be the same.

2. It takes no work at all to close your ears and say whatever you want,
but there is a real burden in actually doing research and thinking things through. Russert was a man that didn't take his job lightly, and he was greatly appreciated for it.

3. It's hard to picture political coverage without him. I will never forget my gratitude
for him on the night of the IN/NC primaries, when he effectively declared that the race between Obama and Hillary was over and that Obama would be the nominee. No one else had the stones to do it.

4. What kills me is knowing how excited he must have been about this election
We're witnessing history before our very eyes with this Presidential race. It's weird that it will continue without him now.

He died too soon. My heart breaks for his family and friends.

5. RIP Tim
You were one of the best parts of election coverage, not to mention that Meet the Press was always one of the highlights of my weekend. You will be sorely missed.

6. He Worked for Pat Moynihan -

I always like Moynihan - and love Jimmy Carter - always gave Russert and Matthews benefit of doubt because of their past political work.

7. I know what you mean.
He seemed to be changing his RW tune and that makes me frankly, well, suspicious.
