that's what I wanna see when i turn on CNN.
jesus, the tim russert thing has really got me down. part of it is guilt for ragging on the guy so much in the past. the rest of it is because i really started to like his take on things.
i would give a hundred bill o'reillys to get tim russert back. a thousand. shit, they can take billo and his entire inbred, white trash viewership if they want...just give us back russert.

1. You know, I was just thinking. |
|
Shills like Russert and slime like O'Reilly are just going to be replaced by another shill and more slime.. unless the press becomes free again for real journalists to practice their trade.
It's Bill Moyers who understands and explains what has happened to the press, and it's the shame of the country now that the press is a corporate rightwing tool.
I'm sorry Russert died. Maybe in some ways he was a good guy, but he was not a good or fair journalist.
That is a fact. If it's not OK to say a fact about a person, then that is a shame, too.

2. Don't feel guilty, try forgiveness |
|
Its life. People die tragically and suddenly every day. Its always sad for those who lose them, but one shouldn't feel guilty about the passing of someone who they disliked or felt had done them harm.
Maybe the most appropriate emotion in these situations is forgiveness. Take his passing as the opportunity to forgive him for the things he did that upset you and others.

3. He seemed like a different person since the Plame trial. I think he learned |

a good lesson about getting to cozy with power.
He was very fair to Obama. I appreciated that. When the other pundits on MSNBC would give negative spin against Obama, Tim was sure to give the counter positive spin on Obama's behalf.
Indeed, Tim was a part of my family. I will miss him greatly. :sob:
