Tim was Irish-Catholic. Through and through. I'm not one myself but I have always had a lot of affection for them. Over the years I've been close to three I-C men. (Never any women) They are just darn good company and a pleasure to be around. And I'm sure Tim was the same way.
I came in from a walk last Sunday morning, got a cup of coffee and a roll and sat down just in time to watch him on Meet the Press. What happened ? NBC showed some damn tennis instead. So now I ended up missing his last program.
I've been planning on reading his book -- "Big Russ and Me" for some time now. I suppose I'll do it now.
So long Big Russ Junior.

Did anyone else here this? I sounded like he had moved him from the place he had been living to another ...was he in a nursing home ?

All I heard was that he had just returned from a visit to Italy with his son and wife.
I figure Big Russ may have predeceased Tim.
