Life is short & unpredictable.
I'm going to try to be a little more peaceful & gentle & loving today.
I would hope that some people would some day say some of the good things about me that so many are saying about Tim Russert right now, the way he was helpful and encouraging and enjoyed his work & life & loved his family friends so much. I dont want to drop dead yelling at the TV or hating, whether it's the Republicans or the Celtics. I'm going to try to be a little more gentle & kinder & understanding & loving today.

3. Don't take
people around you for granted; they can be gone in an instant. Appreciate every day.

4. True that
It would take all my fingers and toes and then some to count all my friends I didn't get to say goodbye to.

5. No one's ever said it better than James Taylor...
You can play the game and you can act out the part
Though you know it wasn't written for you
But tell me, how can you stand there with your broken heart
Ashamed of playing the fool
One thing can lead to another; it doesn't take any sacrifice
Oh, father and mother, sister and brother
If it feels nice, don't think twice

Just shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna work out fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will

You can run but you cannot hide
This is widely known
And what you plan to do with your foolish pride
When youre all by yourself alone
Once you tell somebody the way that you feel
You can feel it beginning to ease
I think its true what they say about the squeaky wheel
Always getting the grease.

Better to shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be just fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will

Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel

Youll feel better right away
Dont take much to do
Sell you pride
They say in every life
They say the rain must fall
Just like pouring rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine.
Oh yes
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine
Yeah, all right
Everybody, everybody
Shower the people you love with love

:toast:

6. I had a big fight with a loved one last night
& this revealed the pettiness of it & brought us together.
With so many awful things happening everywhere all the time,
it's peculiar how a certain death can affect me in a way that
changes my perception, but I'll take advantage of it if & when
I can.

8. You gave Oscar a home. Mixed animals aren't always that lucky!
that alone guarantees you a LOT of nice things in your eulogy!
