Chris Matthews (Tweety) is in Paris
For those watching Keith Olbermann's coverage on MSNBC, and who have written to TVNewser inquiring about Chris Matthews, the network tells us he is on vacation in Paris and expected to deliver a statement soon. I snapped the picture below in April, at Tammy Haddad's garden party. Tim and his wife Maureen Orth (far left) were heading out, as Chris Matthews and his wife Kathleen (far right) were arriving.

4. I was worried that Matthews "collapsed in grief" ....since he had close call (Diabetes)
it was not a good thing for him to hear about Russert.

BUT...NBC's Andrea Mitchell (wife of Alan Greenspan) says that Chuck Todd is the one who can carry on Russert's Legacy" ...I guess all is well with the "General Electric" (Jack Welch...etc.) EMPIRE...so Russert Legacy is in GOOD HANDS..

For all Tweety's Quirks" ...I have to say...I liked him better than RUSSERT. But, I know "Tweety has his OWN HEALTH PROBLEMS!....

Maybe it's just a "Changing of the Guards." Sad to see them go...but the CHANGE is COMING.

5. I know what changing of the guard I'd like to see
get most of the RW aholes off the air. National and local. The country is turning Dem but still they dominate the radio airwaves and a good part of the cable TV shows!

10. Agreed
It would have to be a very thorough sweep with only 1, maybe 2 left standing who are not RW mouthpieces.
Russert? Tweety? Stopped watching both of them long ago.

12. Gwenn Ifill is far more worthy.
I'd have put n/t, but I expect an argument, so "fuck you" ahead of time.

She's honest.

13. no kidding
Look at him elbowing Maureen Orth out of the way so he can cozy up to Russert...and it's not a smiling, buddy-buddy kind of arm around the shoulders, it's a grim grabby "I need a daddy" kind of thing. Ick.
