Rachel will be talking on the weather horrors in the Midwest shortly -- |

KTLK has a great stream - I prefer it to AAR, for what it's worth.
She's currently speaking of Tim Russert - a very nice tribute.

The before and after really shows those of us who aren't familiar with the area, how devastating it really is.
I read a couple of books (of a trilogy) about the effects of weather change in the near future. The first was called Forty Signs of Rain. One of the characters/families it followed was in Washington DC. It was very realistic.
Hearing about the flooding in your parts, I kept thinking back to the book.
Any relief in sight yet?
We have a brush fire here on the coast -- the smoke actually made it inland to Raleigh yesterday and resulted in a Red Alert -- and I read somewhere they feel it might go on until the end of July (I'm HOPING they mean June!).
We are at the mercy of Mother Nature.
