Ohio people
Curious about something that might be considered old news.

Have any kind of charges been leveled against Ken Blackwell because of his duplicity in the 2004 election? I know there were a couple of indictments against state employees who had been working on the election, but I'm mostly curious about whether Blackwell has ever been arrested in the matter, or if he has gotten away with it.

I DO know he lost his bid for the governor's office (unless I'm very much mistaken about the office he was running for).

Yet another cog in the never ending GOP slick and evil machine.

2. Blackwell got away with it
But he lost his bid for Ohio govenor big time, Strickland really trounced him and all but one of the higher state positions went Democratic for the first time in...well, long-long time. They did kick out three election board members up near Cleveland for illegalities, did the recount by "picking" the polling places they wanted, instead of randomly is how I understood it. But I keep hoping that the Democratic Secretary of State is still looking into things. Would be really hard though as I heard some of the counties destroyed the "evidence" after the election was certified (shouldn't there be a certain amount of time this stuff has to be kept? Like income tax records?). Ohio really needs its Election Boards cleaned up, hope it happens. At least now with Democratic Secretary of State there is hope.

3. to my knowledge, there were no legal repercussions to Blackwell, but there was for Noe
The good part about Blackwell leaving is that (relatively) fewer poll shenanigans went on under the new leadership.
Unfortunately, though, we had a scandal with democrat Marc Dann, where circumstantially at least it appeared he was diddling with underlings and giving preferential treatment to close friends. I'm not sure those charges had a lot of merit, but it was enough to make him step down.
