Edited on Sat Jun-14-08 01:24 PM by mycritters2
And I know people in those areas, so I'm following it carefully. I think CNN is doing fine.

But I DO want to know where that asshat in the White House is!!!!

13. His involvement will be late, and minimal
Edited on Sat Jun-14-08 02:49 PM by usaftmo
Iowa has voted for the Democratic candidate every time since saint ronald of raygun left office (2004 being the only exception). Taking that into consideration plus Obama's home state is next door...it's a slam dunk that state will vote blue in November.

Which brings me to something off-topic. If the people of Iowa voted blue every general election since 1988, why switch to red in 2004? We all knew shrub was a piece of garbage long before the 2000 election...the msm ignored that fact...from 2000-2004 Amurika fully realized what a lousy bum he is...then Iowa voted for him in 2004 instead of Kerry?!?! :wtf:

If he's smart (cue thunderous laughter), then shrub will realize that quick and significant involvement will help McSame get more votes (either in Iowa or elsewhere due to being compassionate).

He's out globe-trotting through Europe, knowing this is probably the last fun overseas joyride he can take on the taxpayers' dime. Notice how much traveling he's crowding into his last year. Mr. "I never travel." I'm sure he'll want to go everywhere, one last time, as long as you and I are paying for it.

My cat carriers are right inside the back door, on the way to the garage. If we ever evacuate, the dog and cats go first. Inanimate objects will go as time and space in the car allow.

28. Iowa's largest cities are all experiencing flooding
Des Moines, Cedar Rapids are pretty bad. Davenport is seeing some flooding. Iowa City, home of the University of Iowa, hasn't even seen the worst of it yet. These are 4 of the largest cities in the state. You can add dozens of small towns to the list as well.

31. It's heartbreaking. And disturbing. And like re-living a nightmare.
And, predictably, George Bush and this administration don't give a shit.

I-80 west is a mess. People have lost everything. Watching the local coverage, I continue to be amazed by the human spirit and kindness of others... neighbors rescuing the pets of families who have basically lost everything.

The hates living things, not so much like Dick Cheney. I believe Dick hates all living things. It is what he uses to run his empire' blood, oil and hate.

His presence there would only be self-serving and disruptive. THese people have been through enough already, they don't need this ass clown there for speeches that skirt his responsibility and photo-ops to prop up his image.
