Let's assume the Mr. Russert was a horrible little freeper... |
|
Why would it be OK to dance on his grave?

Can you provide a link? I've seen people, including myself, assert that he was a neocon enabler. But I never danced. He'll be replaced with another as close to him as possible so the agenda can go on unchallenged. So dancing is silly.

Okay, you can't provide a link. It's okay with me. I thought it was hyperbole anyway.
Take care.

3. In order to dance on a grave you have to BECOME like a freeper! |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-14-08 06:16 PM by earthlover
In fact, many freepers at least have the social skills not to dance or piss on graves being dug. So you have to become like the worst of the worst freeper....the total dingbat crazy nutcase.
Sad how things go full circle when one demonizes one's opponents....begins acting like the other side....or worse

freepers support the destruction of our constitution, all republicans do...by default.
I will gladly dance and piss on their graves, I wish they would hurry up and die.

13. Can you name one Sunday, just one when Russert brought on |
|
Constitutional Experts to discuss Buscho's violations of the constitution. You see Bill Moyers does that; KO does that. I have never heard Russert make a comment about the violation of the constitution, executive orders, wiretapping - NEVER!!! And he sure had both opportunity and power - he could have done it.

He was/is a republican. He seemed to have a deep respect for Bush/Cheney.

6. Is it dancing on someones grave to make critical remarks about the deceased? |
|
I didn't notice anyone happy, or dancing. To the contrary there are posters that view Russert as an enabler and feel that his death doesn't modify the legacy. Both supportable claims.
Is that dancing on the grave?

10. You seem to think the problem with this nation is only rightwing. |
|
It's everywing. It's independent.
What's wrong with this nation is that we feel it's OK to de-humanize another person just because we disagree with them.

Why are there so many threads of why this shouldn't be done?
The RW would never do this. They probably celebrated at Teddy Kennedy's news without a single concern post. This is why they win, in modern day America. The voters out there are stupid. You can't take the high road without looking "weak."

12. Aren't we trying to make the world a better place? |
|
If so, do you really think there is a place in a better world for assassinating a dead man's character when he's no longer around to defend himself?

14. When did any of these media creeps bother to "defend themselves?" |
|
Seriously? Dead or alive, it's not as though any of them would bother in the first place.
I won't dance on the guy's grave because I don't CARE that much. They're practically interchangable anyway...gasbags of flesh-colored robots pretending to be relevant.
The way I see it, WE'RE wasting entirely too much time talking about it. Hard to criticize the media when we're almost as bad.

17. "assassinating a dead man's character"?? |
|
"TR was a great guy who tirelessly worked to get to the truth and share it with the American people. His questioning of Dick Cheney is credited with helping to halt a march to war in the Middle East that many viewed as illegal, unprovoked, un-winnable, and a potential multi-year q u a g m i r e. No one was immune from his deep and thoughtful questioning. Follow-ups were his specialty. Add to that, he once helped an old lady cross the street and he was a fun guy to have a beer with."
That better?

21. We're dumping this war on one man. |
|
One man's responsible, not the nation he was merely 1/290,000,000 of.
It's not right. We cannot scapegoat one dude for all the shit in this nation. Nor can we include him a larger group of scapegoats. We are all responsible for this war.

23. No one holds him solely responsible. |

And while I don't hold EVERYONE responsible, there were a lot of rank and file Dems that went along to go along, even if they now regret that.
Nice try, though.

People didn't like the guy but I don't see any cheering or dancing. I've only seen people speak the truth.
p.s. Ever see the movie "A Christmas Carol"? That movie is one of THE BEST lessons on the way to behave in life towards people. Russert created his own enemies and did nothing to repair that damage.
