I suppose I'm a bit shocked for words...this terrible poverty. This is a nation just a few hundred miles away from our shore.

The article, BTW is interesting. It's about the worldwide rise in food prices and Malthus. How long can we sustain our standard of living? Especially in the US, our rate of consumption far outdoes every other nation.

And to think people mock the idea of conservation. I think many just don't understand that resources are finite.
