What? He can't walk WITH his wife?
Cheese and Crackers...they just had a video of your President walking to his helicopter, pushing past his wife and keeping her 3 steps behind the entire path. Waving with that smirk of his, he actually waited at the base of the steps to allow her to walk on first...what a gentleman! It's just revolting that he cannot CANNOT share with anyone at all whatsoever.

10. Background on this....
The occasion was the opening of the Clinton Library. Bill Clinton had just recently had heart surgery and was still visibly weak. And George W. Bush still had to shove him aside to get out the door first. What a fucking jerk.

11. He's endearing himself to a lot of American men too....
as Stephen Ducat points out here:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/stephen-ducat/emasculation-in-republica_b_106823.html

"The primary audience, I would argue, is the other side of the gender gap, the "Insecurity Men," male voters unconsciously anxious about their masculinity, and who are generally well disposed toward Republican candidates. (Wednesday's poll showed McCain with a 20% lead among white men.) Men as a group tend to be much more troubled than are women over the possibility that they might have traits of the other gender. The more central that male domination is to a social order, the more anxious they are about this. In fact, in such a world, the most important thing about being a man is not being a woman. As I described in my last post, the findings of my own research and that of others have shown that conservative men are much more likely to suffer from the fear that they might be "feminine," than are liberal males. One way this femiphobia gets managed is through projection -- by hating, denigrating, and attacking other men whose masculinity is imagined as somehow deficient."

9. He all but left her in the next country when they arrived in the UK
Women can't walk that fast in heels and he just left her to her own devices. He does that all the time to world leaders, too. Always has to be at least one body ahead.

God, he is so revolting.

14. Makes me wonder what he were like when they were dating
>what a gentleman<

All class, that George W. Bush.

If I recall correctly, it was somewhat of a "whirlwind" romance, and they were married right away.

I must be old-fashioned, but I still like it when guys open the door for me and treat me with courtesy. Too bad Laura Bush doesn't think she deserves that.

15. Ever notice this contrast? Take a look at Barack and Michelle
and the obvious chemistry between the two of them and then ask yourself if you've ever seen one moment in the past 7+ years between George and Laura that is in any way comparable. I haven't. Even Bill and HIllary appear to have a closer connection. I can honestly say that I have never witnessed one moment between George and Laura Bush that showed genuine love and affection. Maybe it's just their public faces, but as a couple, there is no discernible emotion between the two of them.
