of what November will look like.....I like it

Will You Be Paid for Sick Days?

Nearly half of all Americans who work in the private sector-including more than 75% of low-wage workers-do not get a single paid sick day. Now the federal government and lawmakers in 14 states are proposing legislation that would require employers to provide paid sick days.

Should employers be required to offer paid sick days? Vote now.

1. Sick days are part of the entire compensation package...
Salary, vacation time, sick days, bonuses, work hours (and whether they're flexible or not), 401k, employee discounts, health insurance, life insurance, paid advanced education...they're all elements of one contract.

I see valid arguments on both sides.

3. If corporations paid people enough money to live on that missing a week
wouldn't throw them in the street or cut off the utilities, then many employees wouldn't mind all that much.. and more would take time off that wasn't "paid" for. AND there it is, corporations want indentured servitude... to always have a bill to pay.. to live by the skin of one's hide, so that they can get away with more crap...
