Fred Thompson: "unprecedented" economic growth under Bush.
Yeah, it's unprecedented because never since the New Deal did the Rich get so much richer while the Middle and Lower classes get so much poorer.
As for economic growth overall, according to Dean Baker:

Kennedy-Johnson — 5.2%
Clinton — 3.6%
Reagan — 3.4%
Carter — 3.4%
Nixon-Ford — 2.7%
Bush II — 2.6%
Bush I — 1.9%

that's the problem with moderators nowadays. When somebody tells a whopper like that they should get hammered.

12. Carter should be ahead of Reagan.
Printing money to buy weapons should not count as economic growth.

13. Unprecedented for the rich
Rich businessmen making products for the military to throw away in Iraq find it "unprecedented" to the tune of a Trillion Dollars.

And think of it, if McCain gets elected, we can look forward to 100 more years of this.

15. The worst part of this is that no one challenged him. He tells a bald-faced lie
on a national show, and nobody calls him on it.

Why bother, we are lost.

20. And as NEWSWEEK reported last week...
It's worse than you think. Thompson is correct - it is unprecedented, but not the way he means it.
