Yahoo News...lies again..
Edited on Sun Jun-15-08 05:33 PM by Stuart G
This story got into my inbox at Yahoo News..Anyone who gets their news from them, will get a lie..

see for yourself..

Bush is straight-talker, so what's EU3?9

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080615/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_diplomacy_2;_ylt=AvpyaJuAjftPh7cQPkt61RkE1vAI

By DEB RIECHMANN, Associated Press Writer Sun Jun 15, 5:41 AM ET

PARIS - President Bush is a straight-talking guy, so what's he doing talking about the EU-3?

It's part of Bush diplomatic-speak. Derided by some as a cowboy during his first term, Bush is ending his presidency knee-deep in group diplomacy.

Throughout his weeklong trip through Europe he's talked a lot about ways the U.S. is huddling with other countries to push for change in rival nations like North Korea and Iran, or push for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

Diplomatic rhetoric that sounds like alphabet soup is not as snazzy as statements like "dead or alive" — a comment he uttered after the Sept. 11 attacks about Osama bin Laden and one he later had second thoughts about saying.

........Who the hell is this Deb Riechmann?...saying this Mr. Bush is a straight talker?...sure he is..and so is she..

7. Yes, an AP story but..
it made its way on Yahoo News. Someone there chose to put it up as an important story.
,, That is how I found it, and that is why the credit belongs to the Yahoo flunkies as opposed to the AP flunkies. Some AP flunky wrote it, but who put it up there for me to read. So my problem is with Yahoo. It was in my mail box.

9. Yes, but Yahoo news isn't "lying" - AP is
Yahoo news basically just runs off other news agencies.

11. Actually, Yahoo is consistently right wing
Take the time someday to compare Yahoo with other online MSM news outlets and you will find that Yahoo's headlines, if nothing else, are much more right-wing. For instance they'll carry the same story about Chavez but put an entirely different spin on it via the story headline.

16. I agree with this post..
B.S Lewis is correct. Yahoo's headlines are almost always "more right-wing" I have always noticed this, and often the headlines do not match the story. Many times, they do. So much comes out of AP that you can pick and choose what to use. Very rarely have any of the stories that Yahoo uses, been critical. I do not recall them ever using the word "lie."

8. Ok..most of us would think of a "straight talker" as..........honest.,
Edited on Sun Jun-15-08 05:43 PM by Stuart G
and telling the truth. All of the leaders of Europe and the rest of the world, as well as you and me, know that telling the truth about anything is the last thing on his mind. Telling a lie is what he does better than anything else, and that is not, in my opinion, straight talk....Stuart.

13. Ok, I see the "sarcasm"
Didn't pick it up at first, didn't see it from the AP flunky. Perhaps she is not a flunky after all. Maybe it is me, not she.....:bounce:

17. Yahoo seems delibertely devoted to taking the most inane
Right Wing clap trap and spewing it as NEWS.

If it isn;t making mountains out of molehills with regards to something Michelle obama has said, it is this kind of nonsense.
