I've never quite understood it. Our television and magazines cover the goings on in that royal family as though they were Hollywood celebrities or truly meritorious individuals. I feel that our President of either party must meet with them and pay them respect, as it is a sign of respect to the British people themselves. But they shouldn't fall all over themselves in awe over a vestige of the past that is a symbol of tyranny. I have absolutely no warm feelings at all for the British royal family.
