A Disagreement...
Recently, I was a witness to the following disagreement between a repuKKKe turned Democrat and a repuKKKe turned libertarian...

Democrat: "I tell you why I changed my party registration, because of that damned boosh and the repuKKKe party in general. They have fucked up everything and have made my life miserable..."

libertarian; "I can't believe you did that! Why? Do you want to pay more in taxes? You know, you'll be subsidizing the lazy, the dopers and the welfare queens... don't you?"

Democrat: "It's the damned costs of everything... pig oil has gone way too far and the a-hole boosh doesn't care!"

libertarian: "So you'll going to be anti-American and vote for a Liberal? mccain, Obama and Hillary are all damn Liberals who are going to tax us to death and give us over to the terrorists!!"

At that point, I said to the libertarian... "mccain is not a liberal."

libertarian: "he is too a liberal!!!"

Me: "In New Hampshire, during the 2000 primary, mccain said and I quote... "i am a conservative in the tradition of ronald ray-gun"..."

libertarian: "That's political bullshit!!! I am voting for bob barr!!"

Democrat: "no it is not! anyway I'd rather vote for that "half and half" than a repuKKKe now..."

It was at this point that I stepped away from the "conversation"...

3. We've got a long way to go......
...before our actual personas can be conveyed on the web. As it is now, people need to be able to write and understand sentences in order to take part in this revolution. But people like these apparently semi illiterate assholes are the swing voters we need to coddle these days.

4. There is a reason we are a republic and not a true democracy...
and I think you have related the prime example.

5. The "Democrat" sounds like someone for whom English...
is not his native language. This could be a random bellwether of how two varieties of conservative may be trending this year. I've wondered about whether Bob Barr's candidacy will consitute a strong third party challenge, as described in Lichtman's "Keys to the White House." If it does, that's another "key" against the Republicans. They already have enough to lose but any more could indicate something close to a landslide for Obama. Thanks for posting. :hi:

6. Obviously you're not quoting exactly, but...
...WTF does the idiot mean when it spews:

libertarian: "That's political bullshit!!! I am voting for bob barr!!"

In response to:

Me: "In New Hampshire, during the 2000 primary, mccain said and I quote... "i am a conservative in the tradition of ronald ray-gun"..."

How is that an answer/response to McCain's self-identification as connedservative?

Wow, your libertarian (ashamed republican) protests a whole lot for his ideology!

It's almost as if he is subconsciously equating himself to McCain, while consciously lying that he will vote for Babar.

Freakin' idiot!

LOL!

9. I do not think that he appreciated me
Stating a basic fact about mccain being a conservative, rather than him being labeled as a "Liberal".

And this person will vote for Barr.

You just had to be there to get the entire gist of the discussion.

7. McCain is "too liberal?!"
I appreciate your dilemma, my friend, but we could all straighten him out on that, LOL, if only John McCain would choose a position and stick with it... *sigh*

As for the most liberal member of the Senate, I thought that was Hillary Clinton! Wait, it was John Kerry! No, it was John Edwards, or maybe it is Barak Obama! But then I thought it was Ted Kennedy! Never mind, I'm confused...

My sympathies are with you, my friend. I face the same thing with my mother... :-(

BTW, K&R...:kick:

11. Of course, my friend!
And this post does deserve it. I hate these dilemmas. My mother is not a stupid person, but she watches FIXED News. *sigh* When the subject of stem cell research came up, she said to me that this killed children. Of course, my response was "what?!" And she must have suddenly came to her senses and realized that this made no sense. *sigh*

Anyway, Joe told me about your nice conversation, and pointed out your thread. It's good to see you!:D

Did he tell you about the party for his brother? That was very nice and I think Michael was pleased, was completely in his element, working the room. LOL.:D

Hope that all is well with you. Joe just said that you had a long and very good talk...:-)
