The essence of a joke is how it can change with the times. I took a one-liner that zapped both women and African Americans and turned it around while having coffee with some of my sister in law's in-laws -- a group of women whose politics I was unsure of until I said that and was greeted with hoots of laughter and the verbal equivalent of high-fives.

Obama has the female vote in this country. :D
