A defiant Gordon Brown will use his final British summit with George Bush to insist: "We're getting out of Iraq."

At today's Downing Street talks with the US President, the PM will spell out plans to announce a withdrawal of our last troops.
And he will override any American objections that it could weaken the battle against militants.

Senior No10 sources said Mr Brown wanted to make a statement to the Commons on troop levels before the end of July.

One source said: "We will be making clear our plans to update the House of Commons before the summer recess." But he insisted it would not end with a row with the Americans, adding: "They understand our position."
