Kucinich makes waves with articles
Excellent LTTE! Everyone should write one!!

Congressman Dennis Kucinich was a true patriot as he upheld the U.S. Constitution June 9.

By introducing the 35 articles of impeachment of President George W. Bush, Kucinich has also confirmed to the country and the world that he heard the clarion call from the citizenry of the U.S. to end the Iraq War and bring our country back to its core values as stated in the Constitution of this once great country. Congress has a duty to act on this call to impeachment. This is the most important business of our day.

The congressman's presentation of the articles of impeachment should be headline news in all newspapers across the country. It is only due to the corporate control of our media that is not the case.

Nevertheless Congress has an obligation to move forward to impeach the president and vice president and to protect our country and the American people from treason as they took the vow of oath to do.

Kucinich's 35 detailed articles of impeachment can be accessed at www.democrats.com/ files/amomentoftruth.pdf.

7. The trolls- just click the hide thread box.
I'm hiding those threads along with the
spam of stupid polls as soon as I see them today.

They are meant to clog the forum and keep us
from reading the important threads.
Just us the "hide" button.

It will make your DU journey so much more enjoyable.

Trust me.

3. When the government is not held to account for breaking the laws of the land
...then we have tyranny, plain and simple.

4. there is no other way to explain it
but what does that make US? Are we complicit as a people to the demise of our country?

6. Not complicit- ignorant, thanks to the corporate "media"
Most Americans have no idea what has happened over the last
8 years; they are kept ignorant.

I think at this point, if even half the population had the facts,
they would storm the White House with torches and pitchforks.

Remember, we are a very small minority of the citizenry.

The rest are busy watching television and reading
People magazines.

12. I think it's a little of both
After all, you and I could very easily be as ignorant as the majority of the country if we weren't interested in what our government was really doing, or were only interested in what affects us personally.

Democracy requires eternal vigilance. Anyone not paying attention is complicit. Also complicit are those who are aware but don't see the crimes, and those who know crimes have been committed but care more about "winning" the next election.

As it stands no matter who wins the GE, America loses.

5. Bingo.
No "talking point" about why this isn't the time to impeach trumps this reality.

8. This sentence says it all.
"The congressman's presentation of the articles of impeachment should be headline news in all newspapers across the country. It is only due to the corporate control of our media that is not the case."

Thanks for the thread, MartyL.

11. Yup! The corporate media is not merely complicit but a major contributor to the failure,...
,...of democracy in this nation.

It's just that simple, to me.

While the CM whines and bitches about the competition injected via the internet, IT STILL DOESN'T GET ITS' FAILURE TO OFFER FACT-BASED TRUTH RELATING TO THE DEMOCRATIC HEALTH OF THIS NATION. So, if the CM dies, I won't be mourning.
