Courant Quiet On Impeachment
Another great LTTE- Go after the media!!

I'm disappointed with The Courant's inadequate coverage of U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich's presentation of 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush.

Kucinich, through his case, defends the Constitution and attempts to foil the Bush administration's preparations for an attack on Iran. Unfortunately, The Courant, though often labeled as a breeding ground for liberal editorials and left-leaning journalism, failed to cover Kucinich's presentation in the same way it failed to properly cover Kucinich's call for Vice President Dick Cheney's impeachment.

Until the daily news media report on fundamental government protections taken to ensure separation of powers, restraint on executive crimes and illicit prerogative will seem radical, foreign and even anti-American.

I encourage Courant readers to independently research Kucinich's attempts and President Bush's crimes and violations.

While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (herself guilty under a few of Kucinich's impeachment articles) shirks her responsibility to enact House privilege and discuss impeachment, the least The Courant could do is stimulate some discussion among readers.

Impeachment is not a fine wine or constitutional delicacy; it's a responsibility entrusted to our elected representatives.

1. This is true.
Impeachment is not a fine wine or constitutional delicacy; it's a responsibility entrusted to our elected representatives. So why are some asking for censure instead?
