University of Iowa Flood Relief Fund link
Edited on Mon Jun-16-08 12:57 PM by calipendence
Just got this from the Iowa Alumni Association, but thought that there might be others here not in the alumni association that might also be interested in helping out.

Some may also prefer to donate to other organizations like the Red Cross too, but I think the important thing to note is that though there have been some deaths and injuries in this flood, the biggest loss will be people's property and state owned and business owned property like the University here, and the battle is pretty crucial in the coming weeks to prevent the catastrophe from getting worse. So donations like this to the University will do the best to help rebuild public infrastructure there in Iowa City for the University there and ultimately help Iowa taxpayers too, who may be forced to bail out the University if the insurance companies won't (for areas that are hit outside the 500 year flood plain which are likely not going to be covered).

Feel free to add more donation link sites too to this thread as you find them.
