So, what's up with Tim Russert's mom?
Apparently, she left Big Russ after 30-some years of marriage, and has since died. What's up with her? I mean, we've heard a lot about Big Russ, what's up with Mrs. Big Russ?

(This is my obligatory Tim Russert posting, nothing more)

2. She never left
They had three daughters, and she was closer with her girls - big surprise - than she was with her only son. He has spoken of her in glowing terms, and poetically described being with her in the hospital as she lay dying of cancer.

3. Well, gee.
Wiki and other sources claim she left after 30 years of marriage. If this is untrue, please feel free to direct me to accurate sourcing.

6. Okay, thanks for that link. It mentions nothing about his mom, as far as I can tell.
But it's a nice story about how he met his wife. I think.

7. Says his parents divorced.
"As a boy in the '50s, Russert remembers his father, Tim "Big Russ" Russert, now 74, watching Meet the Press in the cramped, three-bedroom, Buffalo home they shared with mother Elizabeth, now 69 (his parents divorced about 20 years ago), and his three sisters. Russert would eventually earn a political science degree in 1972 from Ohio's John Carroll University, and four years later a law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law."
