10. TeeeVeeee, 24hr news, strong middle class

The fact that so many Americans aren't literally chained to a machine, or underground 16 or more hours a day anymore gives us a little time to notice the outside world. Add to that the TeeVee and the 24 hr news and it means we have both the time and the wherewithall to be peeping toms on a much grander scale.

was the female ambassador from Dominican Republic. I cannot remember her name, but they worked for the rights of women and children as they traveled around the world. This was after the death of FDR of course.
