No this is not an official party but it is a real party in the US. It is formed by the same folks who once believed in Manifest Destiny
It is formed by those who believe the US is OUTSIDE history. Members of this party believe in varying degrees that the US is eternal, and will be here forever. They also believe our values are wroth spreading around the world, by force or by crook.
Allies to this party are the multinationals, who benefit from this way of thinking
And yes, they are in both national parties, and I suspect in some of the small ones as well.
Today we know them as Neocons. They are the latest incarnations. But make no mistake... they are in both national parties, and their power is quite extensive. And in varying degrees, Americans have internalized the values of the Imperial Party.
You can spot people who have internalized these values if you pay attention, but they are around you. This is why this country NEEDS, as in desperately needs, a truth and reconciliation commission. We need to cancel American Idol and have these hearings on the teeveee... and they need to cover what has been done in the name of Empire in your name, over the last forty years, AT LEAST.
Perhaps then, people will finally understand why Empire is not forever, and that manifest destiny should, FINALLY, be confined o the dustbin of history. And this is not about party either...
