If somebody (Rove) is a pathological and unrepentent liar... |
|
why does it matter to him if he goes under oath or not? We all know he'll lie either way.
He must be worried about getting caught lying under oath.
So why can't we seem to get the evidence to contradict his dodgy bullshit - clearly enough to just arrest him? Why do we even need his testimony?

1. "IF" Rove is an unrepentent liar? The man wouldn't know truth if it bit him in the ass. |

2. I don't see any difference in Rove's moral fiber |

and that of any other American politician in either party.

6. Playing Out The String... |
|
Watching Linda Sanchez last night waffle about using contempt against Rove was a disgrace. Karl was probably sitting home laughing his ass off as he knows the Judiciary Committee has no fortitude to fight this regime, so he keeps sticking in their faces...hiding behind his "Executive Privilidge".
While we've got a lot of rope to hang Rove, a little more wouldn't hurt...especially if he perjurs himself. But just keep in mind that any indictment of this criminal while his protector waves the pardon wand is what's holding back many in Congress from going after him as well as a non-functional Justice Department. While it sucks that this scumbag gets to run around for a few more months, the wait may be worth it once this regime is removed.

They should just lay low until January 21st, then, because this hollow posturing going on now is not helping.

8. It's Not A Popular Opinion In This Place |
|
Many want impeachment yesterday...most without thinking of how this process would really play out and assume that all the crimes of the past 8 years will be wiped away. The real truth and reconciliation begins once this regime is out of power and its stain removed. I like Jonathan Turley's suggestion of bringing back the Independent Prosecutor and let this person investigate all the crimes sans the political footballs.
I even think impeachment is still a possibility in the lame duck session to prevent this regime from trying to launch more wars for profit and pardoning their asses on the way out. In the end, IMHO, defacto impeachment with a large Democratic majority...along with a conviction is not just possible, but will be needed to cleanse this country from some of the blood on its hands. The rest must be handled in the world court.
Cheers...

9. If (ha ha) Rove lies to Congress while not under oath |
|
he can still be prosecuted for unsworn falsification. He'll just get off with a misdemeanor instead of a felony. Pretty cunning if you ask me.
