Cops buying heavy weapons in anticipation of Democratic National Convention.

Why am I seeing these stories? I really think "they" are purposefully trying to create a violent situation in Denver. Who is protesting this thing? Everyone I know will be protesting the Republican convention. Let them go to Denver, it'll be a bunch of cops just standing around.

Veritas Tactical Receives Initial Mark-IV Rifle Launcher Order That Includes VT-P8 Pistol Launchers, Projectiles and Accessories


LOUISVILLE, CO--(MARKET WIRE)--Jun 16, 2008 -- Security With Advanced Technology, Inc. (NasdaqCM:SWAT - News) reported that its Veritas Tactical business segment has received a purchase order from the City and County of Denver, for the Company's recently introduced rifle launcher and pistol launcher as well as projectiles and associated accessories. The purchase order includes 88 of the new Mark IV launchers representing approximately 80% of the order and the PO totals in the low six figures. The Denver Police Department conducted extensive testing and evaluation of the launchers prior to placing the purchase order and has requested delivery in advance of the upcoming Democratic National Convention to be held in Denver in August.

Before I left on Tues I saw a black armoured car looking vehicle with all kinds of radar dishes and antennae on it.

Are they really expecting problems in Denver at the DNC that they are taking all these precautions?
