9. I ride the bus everyday and I love it |
|
a 20 minute nap in the morning and in the afternoon is very refreshing.
I have met several really nice people on the bus.

12. Lucky you! I don't get the nap. |
|
If I catch the 6:30 bus, it is standing-room only for the first 15 minutes, with the bus traveling nearly 45 mph. I've shifted my schedule to catch the next bus, and it is hit/miss as to whether I get to sit down or not.
But the price is good. My monthly pass costs me under a buck a day, and I can ride the bus and light rail unlimited times.

13. It would take me 2hrs.. on an indirect route (because the trans planning sucks) |
|
to go 4.5 mi to work.. The bus lines wouldn't start soon enough for me to get to work on time. And they stop service on the other days that I would need them if I work until 11p or have to do the audit shift.

6. I have started carpooling with two other friends. |
|
My focus gets about 30 mpg. So with the two passengers we are at about 90 passenger mpg. Plus with three we can use the carpool on 520 which cuts about 20 mins off our commute. It is a win win.

the ultimate commute: walk up 1 flight of stairs, no traffic gridlock except if the dog zips by me on the way up.

8. i seriously looked into that.. |
|
2 hours @ $6.50 to make a 30 min commute. i'd ride my bike, but there's a military base between my place and my job. some real nice trails, but i doubt they'd let me pass.
