Anybody else hear something about ANOTHER stimulus check? |
|
Don't piss & moan at me...I didn't hear this per se'. My daughter heard it on Faux news this morning (she only watches it 'cause it's almost constant weather reports and she has to dress my grandson for school). Supposedly it's just a thought at this moment, but it would only go out to people making UNDER 150K.
I checked on their website ( almost :puke: ) but didn't find anything. Maybe they are performing another "quick clip" just to start rumors....wouldn't put it past them.

So, I sorta hope that the rest of you aren't going to get a 2nd one 'til after I get my first.

6. That's because so many people had "tax burdens" taken out of the stimulus check - |
|
It didn't "stimulize" the economy.
Hmmm - another stimulus check? Starting to sound like a taxpayer "cost of living stipend"; are we finally going socialist? :)
Hint to lawmakers: A "Infrastructure Works" program employing people at decent wages will do more for the economy than stimulus checks. And nowdays, a program like that will need IT and engineering/design people as well as manual labor.

8. Damn, someone else actually remembers |
|
"cost of living" raises????
They went the way of income tax deductions for credit card, auto loan and personal loan interest. Another of Reagan's brilliant "the poor get poorer" ideas.

we aren't getting the original one anyhow so if there was to be "Here's some money to vote for McCain" stimulus check #2 we wouldn't be getting that one either.

9. Yes I did. Somebody mentioned that another stimulus check might |
|
be necessary to stimulate the economy. I can't remember for sure who said it, but I think it was Bernakie (Fed Chairman). I know when I heard the comment, my response was "Oh good...just put MORE on the maxed out Country's credit card!" It seems like it was said about a week or a week and a half ago.
