Tiger Woods is done for the year. |
|
Apparently he won the U.S. Open on a leg which he broke last month and which also had a torn tendon. I'm posting this here so that a few people will actually see it before if gets dumped into the Sports dungeon. (By the way, mods, some stories pertaining to athletes are big enough to warrant inclusion in the GD forum.)

3. Isn't that incredible - 91 holes of golf on a broken leg with a torn ligament? |

5. I do hope that he is able to recover |
|
Torn tendons, I've heard, are the trickiest to heal--do you think this will impede his ability to golf next year?

8. I hope he can come back from this. |

Thanks for pposting. I agree some stories are more important than sports dungeon. Like him or no this is the Tiger era in golf.

10. This affects a whole lot of people. The PGA, the Networks, the Sponsors... |
|
and everyone employed by them. It's pretty much common knowledge that TV ratings go way down when Tiger isn't there. I bet there's a lot of boo-hooing going on today.
BTW I got misty every time I heard his dad (RIP) talk about how he worked to make him mentally strong.
