I heard Limbaugh refer to Sen. Obama as "bin Laden" today. |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-18-08 02:25 PM by DefenseLawyer
I was listening to him spout off in the car, because my blood pressure was low and i needed a fix. He was bloviating about this and that and was repeatedly mixing up "Obama" and "Osama". Quite accidental I'm sure, slip of the tongue cause they are so similar, right? But at one point before playing a sound bite of Sen. Obama he said something to the effect of "Here's the other clip of Bin Laden" and proceeded to play a clip of the Senator. Stay classy, San Diego.

3. I was about to say "Oh, just ignore that freak." But then I started to think. |

I'm glad people listen to Limbaugh. I think it'll be incredibly useful this year to record every little ounce of hate he spews out and hang it around John McCain's neck. McCain supports Limbaugh. Not that McCain thinks like Limbaugh, but it's certainly useful to turn that kind of hatemongering into a political liability.
The country will be better off when we can get Republicans to turn on Limbaugh the same way McCain used to turn on Falwell & Robertson.

6. Driving back from court in BFE |
|
It's either that or fire and brimstone on the radio. It is just amazing that someone that stupid has been on for so long. I mean everything he says is just twisted and simplistic and wrong; and he talks out his ass with such proclivity that every second you think he is about to have an "Al Campanis moment". Of course I guess he has had many of them already, it's just that he and his listeners don't care.

9. i tend not to listen to him too much |
|
(not because i disagree with him but because he is so ignorant in his analysis) but today i did notice that both he and mccain are using the same talking points. to me this either means that mccain does not have an original thought in his head and has to use the rnc to think for him or they do think alike.

4. The only surprising part is that they're trotting out the naked racism |
|
so early in the election. Honestly, I think there's a fine line between this kind of talk from Limbaugh and inciting his listeners to commit violent acts against the Democratic candidate.

8. They want race riots. It's all over the 'nets about making this the new '68 |
|
Nothing would strike fear into voters like riots in Denver.
Even if we don't take the bait, it'll happen as a piece of public kabuki.

13. Race riots? Are you kidding me? |
|
Jesus, they really are stuck in the past. I thought the whole race riot thing was supposed to happen if Obama didn't win the nomination. He won, so now what's the plan? White people riots?

isn't somehow illegal over the public airwaves.
Did you see Swamp Rat's post about his hate being spewed all over NOLA AND all the billboards that went up after Katrina? His latest thing is to show that white flood victims are so much whiter than black ones. The man is a piece of filth.

His giant ass will get extremely sore from all the trash-talking it will do and will need some pain relief.

If Obama loses he will spout off and gloat and take credit, if Obama wins he will spout off and criticize him at every turn. He's got a gig either way.

16. Not much we can do to stop him, though if we're fortunate he'll stop himself. . . |
|
He may get so wound up in his ignorance and hate he'll step over a line, as he did with Donovan McNabb, and his sponsors will yank his chain tight.
At least, that's my hope after -- what? -- twenty-some years of his blithering idiocy? I know, it's a hope for a "Lonesome" Rhodes ending, but at this point, I'll settle for leaving Limbaugh mired again in the Crowd.
