On Hate

I used to spend many hours hating. I hated the war,I hated bush,I hated the counter protesters that would shove us around. I was angry and bitter.
Then my son died. Suddenly,I realized how fruitless hate was. I could have chose to hate his neglectful dad, or the woman who hurt him or myself for not seeing how depressed he was. But that would not bring him back.
I'm not saying we shouldn't try to fight back...stand up for our beliefs....speak out at injustice.
Hate though, it's soul destroying and the ones you're hating on could care less.

You should be very proud of yourself that you were able to move past the hate. Sometimes it takes longer for other people. Some people get past all the stages of grief quicker; sometimes it takes longer for others.

And you are absolutely correct. The time and effort spent on hate could be better spent elsewhere,

9. Hi : You are right , hate does nothing to help anyone.

We have talked before. All hate does is eat away from the inside. What is important is we learn from our lifes and mistakes and try not to repeat them and see them for what they were. No one can foresee what the outcome will be or predict the next hour.

I think the most difficult thing to do is put oneself in anothers shoes, we try and feel we can.
