Today's Democratic Party response to the Oil issue being debated in both the House and Senate, the United States currently has on hand, the undeveloped and proven reserves of:

* 68 million acres of undeveloped U.S. Land leases. These leases are ready now and all environmental questions have been answered.

* 81% of estimated oil and gas reserves are available now for drilling.

* This will open 187 BILLION barrels of oil on current land leases without the need for drilling in ANWAR. Enough to sustain our economy for 14 more years without importing one more drop from a foriegn nation.

* However, this Oil still goes on the national market to the highest bidder and must be stopped. We are still EXPORTING Oil to the tune of 1.5 million barrels per day!

I am a Greenie so don't attack me.. just pointing out facts to counter the Repuke talking points.
