Shortly after this photo was taken the flag fell into a puddle and was run over.

Yet still absolutely hilarious! And I'm not joking about the flag part. It really did fall off into a puddle.

8. I don't mean to come across as a spelling cop but 'moron' seems to be the most mispelled word
that and 'loose' for 'lose'

9. I dunno about loose, but the 'moran' is intentional.
It comes from an old photo of some GOP blowhards. Maybe someone else can post it.

Edited on Sat Jun-21-08 12:30 AM by kath
and this guy was one of the counter-protestors. This guy was SERIES!!1! (another Freeper misspelling DU joke) This protest & counter-protest occurred in the lead-up to the Iraq invasion/occupation or shortly thereafter, IIRC.

(the guy who infiltrated the Schiavo whackaloon contingent was being sarcastic and held up a sign saying something like "we are idiots"

He drew a cross on the sign, as camouflage. That pic always makes me laff. (Even more than "Get a life Morans".)

Luckily there are some lovely Kossacks here who continue to post the "Morans" picture.
I'd like to see that one you mention -- just for the variety, you know.

Per your request...

You gotta love the expression on the young woman with her head craned-back looking (double-taking) on that sign...

Sardonic humor is so much more worth while, more satisfying, than, say, Limbaugh making race "jokes".

16. Could it be possible that
they were transporting that to a site to attach it to a July 4th parade float?

Just giving them the benefit of the doubt ... not that we don't have our share of moran's up here in the blue NE, but this blatant is hard for me to swallow for our area.

22. World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church
Edited on Fri Jun-20-08 09:36 PM by IanDB1
Your eyes are not deceived. It’s the Statue of Liberty holding a cross, property of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church. The New York Times covered it last summer when it was unveiled.

The statue, inspired by a Memphis church that has three giant crosses, strikes {Pastor Alton R. Williams} as “a creative means of just really letting people know that God is the foundation of our nation,” he said.
