NC numbers.
I just went to the North Carolina Board of Elections and this is what I found.

Democratic: 2,633,326
Republican: 1,932,521
Libertarian: 5
Unaffiliated: 1,245,045

but did not see the totals like that.

lol - i think i work with one of the 5 libertarians in the state. he's having a hard time deciding how to vote, because he recognizes that mccain would be bush on speed, but he kinda hates the democrats too. he's a chemist who doesn't entirely buy into the concept of global warming. interesting man.

must be full of piss and vinegar right about now.

When I lived in NC (1986-1992) the political climate in the state was . . . different, and that old oxygen thief's thugs proudly wore their racism on their sleeves. Political thuggery on election night 1990, with Harvey Gantt running against Helms, truly sickened me to American politics (I never thought it could get worse).

I'm really glad to see NC returning to its independent progressive roots.
