1. Ain't that the truth.
There are few clearer ways of saying "I'm going to sit on my ass and do nothing to win this election, because I don't have to" than a website like that

2. She voted on the right way on FISA so I still gave her a cookie
but when I went to her website to do that I went... you've got to be kidding me!

I am not that much of a webmaster, but a little work and she could put a far more professional site

Or for crying out loud BUY a template and fill in the blanks

Lord knows I've done it

3. She's broken one of the cardinal rules of web design:

Don't ever, ever, ever, put up a page saying "under construction." Either leave your old page up until the new one is ready to replace it, or, if it's your first page, don't put anything up until you have something worth looking at. All that "under construction" crap is just annoying and makes you look unprofessional.

And you're absolutely right. There are free templates available from countless CSS sites that you can just drop text and images into, tweak a couple of tags and you're done. It's amazing that people are still prepared to show such a crappy face to the world, when it's so easy to do it right.

4. I've used the under construction on secondary pages
NEVER, ever on the home page

And I try to get back to them in a week tops

Perhaps should call the campaign office and offer to put something a tad more pro for these guys...

I am sure I can do that in an evening and it will be a marked improvement!

5. That's a good idea.
Hell, you could link the page to a style sheet you download off the net and produce a better page than that in about three minutes.

6. I can even do a simple HTML page with columns and links
in about ten minutes.

I've been doing my own for a while now

And it looks like these guys need a simple static htm web page. Perhaps that is all they can handle (even if it should not matter)

I can do that in about ten minutes... with dreamweaver and if they don't have DW... I have a couple free editors that they can use

It is just freaking amazing that they have that kind of a page in this day and age...

Tells us that not only grandpa has a problem with computers!

7. That would be "losing."
"Loose"
"Tight"
"Losing"
"Winning"

8. You are correct sir, so what is your opinion of this website
and what it tells you about the state of the race... as well as technical knowhow?

9. She won her last race with 67.6% of the vote
so she's safe. But I wouldn't judge that by her website being revamped.
