(Ben) Nelson Believes Nebraska Could Give Obama Two Electoral Votes

Ben is starting to show some balls. He really delivered on his speech yesterday. Before you attack Senator Ben Nelson, remember he was one of the 14 that stopped the attempt to end the 60 needed for cloture in 05. R's could have done anything they wanted had it passed. They did have the votes.

Fremont, NE - One of Nebraska's top Democrats tells his party the state could deliver two electoral votes to Barack Obama. Senator Ben Nelson addressed hundreds of Nebraska Democrats at the state party's convention in Fremont Saturday.

Nebraska splits its electoral votes - one of the winner in each congressional district and two for the statewide winner. Nelson believes Obama could win the 1st and 2nd districts, in eastern Nebraska. If November brings a tight race, Nelson feels Nebraska could even deliver the winning vote to Obama.

The state's electoral votes have never been split. The last Democrat to carry Nebraska was Lyndon Johnson, 44 years ago.

2. Ben voted with labor 95% of the time in 07 as per the AFL-CIO

Need I say more?

72% lifetime. Then there was his vote for Employee Free Choice Act! The Labor Caucus asked everyone to thank him for his vote yesterday.
