Anyone else think John Stewart sucked tonight? |
|
I don't think I recall a less funny TDS nor one where Stewart spent the entire beginning of the show attacking the Dem (Obama) and defending a GOP wife (Cindy McCain). It was Bizarro World on the show....
I'll give him a mulligan because I'm sure a lot of comedians were crushed by the Carlin news but wow was tonight a stinker...
Thankfully Colbert rocked the house afterwards.

And yes he has been a mccain person for a long time. I thought he had changed his ways, but tonight the old Jon came through and it will probably stay this way. I will soon be down to KO (Countdown) and SC (The Colbert Report) for 'news served my way'.
Edited to add: It just topped my night off. I am suffering from slight flu symptoms from a Zometa infusion tonight. Well, I say slight but it is more like I got hit by a compact car, or maybe a mini-van. ;)

He shined a light on the cockroaches like he always does. Sometimes that means us.

once in awhile. So if Obama changes his tune on public financing (regardless of the strength of the previous statements), Jon will rib him for it.

8. I thought the defense of Cindy McCain was fair. |
|
And the Obama segment was more of a statement about our political system...
I'm still laughing about Senior Imprisoned Correspondent "Gitmo" (Elmo handpuppet with a beard) from last week.
