Conservative movement: 1980-2008. RIP in November! |
Wouldn't that feel good? I can see it happening. If Democrats take the Presidency and gain a supermajority in both the House and Senate, I'm hoping they will use the newfound power to the absolute fullest, pushing the country in a more sensible direction and putting the final nail in the coffin of the hardcore conservative movement. If this happens, it will be a great time to be an American!

1. We might well get the Republican party out of power. |
But the neo-conservative/corporatist movement is going to be with us until every spineless piece of crap who has continuously voted to enable these bastards have been replaced by REAL Democrats who aren't afraid of the "L" word.

2. I thought it died on election night 1992 |
However, I was tragically wrong. If the movement is allowed to continue past this election cycle-I see no hope. I thank you for your optimism, but I'm getting old and am not as resilient as I used to be. I'm tired, frightened and holding my breath until November.

3. The 'hardcore' conservative movement is backed by massive industries. |
Those industries thrive off war and death and expansion. They're not going anywhere until we make them go. We're not making them go; hence they will be there regardless.
