Should the United States Congress approve of drilling off U.S. shores and in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge?
Yes
No

p.s. the paper is published by a republican. only local paper for the surrounding 7-8 counties. they didnt even run the story about their U.S. representative calling Obama a 'boy'. but they jump on any chance to call out a democrat.

3. before I click, I ponder. Where is Maysville and why should most of us care what they think?
I live in the heart of backwards thinking, mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, flag waving, hamburger eating, reich wing South and I dont care who says what in any public opinion polls.

I dont get most of the "DU this poll" posts. Sometimes it is fun to throw off a small study with a high concentration of liberal thought, but wouldnt it be more interesting to see what the people of Maysville really think?

14. I gave up screwing with the local reich-ies around here years ago
the local paper, the local sean hannity wannabe radio moran, and the tv editorial who's topics include:

FISA Protection Finally Restored

Protecting the sovereignty and security of America is job-one for the federal government. All else is secondary, common sense tells us, since all of our wondrous liberties flow only from a secure and well-defended free nation. With all House Members about to face the electorate, this too-often-neglected priority has now forced its way through the left-wing-led Congressional fog machine, coupled with enough additional domestic pork to make a pig blush, all converging and enabling the House to, at long last, pass the vital Federal Intelligence Surveillance Act renewal, which its leadership had stonewalled since February. Also included: critical supplemental war funding for our courageous troops, who pursue the fight against terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and beyond. The Senate is due to pass the bill this week and the President will sign it. A clear victory for any American who still cares a whiff about the security of our great nation.

A-maize-ing Fuelishness

Three years ago, Congress blindly rushed to drink ethanol's miracle kool-aid, passing legislation calling for, in part, the accelerated processing and use of a fuel additive derived from grain, triggering the Corn Rush Of 2005. With apparently little thought to possible unintended consequences, quite brilliantly, we're now partially powering vehicles by burning our food. A rudely awakened Congress must now try to cram that ethanol corn-genie back in the bottle, hopefully reserving some of the cobs for themselves.

16. We need to tell them that ANWR leases are good to go.
The oil companies do not find it "cost effective" and don't wish to abide by the rules of the leases.
