6. On CNN "Issue #1" a viewer asked about the millions of acres

of leases the oil companies already own, and why they are not drilling in THEM instead of demanding more leases. I was a bit surprised to hear that the reason they are NOT is because it's very expensive to drill in those areas, so they are holding off in hopes that Congress will approve of other leases either on land (like Alaska) or offshore but closer to land than the ones they currently own. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's the first time I've heard that.
