Bumpersticker Seen in OH
"Our oil is under their sand"

:wow:

Nothing ceases to amaze me, anymore.

Couldn't see which county the car was from on the license plate.....rush hour traffic.

2. I see that as satire.
I don't think anyone could construe that as a rational thought, could they?

5. Yeah, satire.

I have wanted to get a t-shirt that says "How dare they put their country on top of our oil?"

3. I think that's just a riff on the bumpersticker: How did our oil get under their sand?
The implication is that we have no basic right to claim some other country's resources.

8. Well then...
That repub didn't get it. I would've viewed it the same as you.....if I didn't see all of the repub bumperstickers that went along with it.

12. Wow. Yes, having a "W" sticker next to it would reverse the message.

7. I think you're missing the irony -- I've usually seen it expressed as "How did OUR oil get under
THEIR sand?", or "What's OUR oil doing under their sand?" which makes it more obvious -- ie selfish Murkans thinking all the resources of the world are theirs to exploit...
