http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117987987.html?categoryid=14&cs=1Fox has ordered a put pilot from scribe Kevin Falls ("Journeyman") based on Argentina's telenovela hit "Lalola."
Hyped in Argentina as the next "Ugly Betty," "Lalola" revolves around a womanizer who is transformed into a woman -- and must endure the same kind of abuse he used to dole out.
In his pitch to the nets, Falls even took on the persona of the character -- a man trapped in a woman's body -- to positive effect. Show takes place at a sports management firm and will also be set in the world of entertainment and fashion.
Falls will write the adaptation and exec produce; Jamie Tarses is also on board as an exec producer. Sony Pictures TV is behind the project, which is based on the Dori Media International format.
