San Francisco group wants to name sewage plant after Bush --Supporters plan 'synchronized flush' of hundreds of thousands of San Francisco toilets 25 Jun 2008 A group with the regal-sounding name of the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco is planning to ask voters here to change the name of a prize-winning water treatment plant on the shoreline to the George W. Bush Sewage Plant. The renaming would take effect on Jan. 20, when the new a president is sworn in. And regardless of the measure’s outcome, supporters plan to commemorate the inaugural with a synchronized flush of hundreds of thousands of San Francisco toilets, an action that would send a flood of water toward the plant, now called the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant.

8. It's not a 'conspiracy nut' site. Did you see the item under that one?
Pentagon cannot account for $2 billion in anti-terror funds to Pakistan --Overall, the U.S. has paid $5.6 billion to reimburse the country for counter-terrorism expenses, a GAO report says. 25 Jun 2008 The United States has paid more than $5 billion to reimburse Pakistan for counter-terrorism expenses that have often been exaggerated, if not fabricated, according to a government audit released Tuesday that blasts the Pentagon for poor management of the program. The report concluded that the Pentagon could not properly account for as much as $2 billion in payments to Pakistan over a three-year period from 2004 to 2007. Auditors uncovered an array of questionable costs, including $45 million for roads and bunkers that may never have been built; $200 million for the operation of air defense systems even though Al Qaeda has no known aircraft; and overcharges for meals and vehicles used by Pakistani troops.

12. The 'original content' INCLUDES the NYT and LAT links!
They refuse to call Bush 'president,' because he stole two elections! Other than that, their material is all sourced.

mainstream media sources. In addition, they have essays and other commentary, tacked on to the summaries - invoking humor.
When I said 'original content,' I meant they link to it.
I wasn't clear, but anyway - that's what I meant. Legitgov.org post's short summaries and links from other media sources. This is different than 'truthout'.org, which posts ENTIRE items from mainstream media sources onto their own webpages, so they can get (steal) their website hits.
