jesus CHRIST, Obama surrogates>> STOP accepting the Right Wing Premise, as in:
on MSNBC....

they're running some BS right now that cites a "focus" group that has found that Barack doesn't seem like a real American because of his NAME!!!!

this simp on the dem side is just swallowing the garbage from both the host and the nonstop chattering bleached blonde bimbo

not only did I miss him call this focus group into question (FRank Luntz, maybe?), but he kept allowing them to set the tone of the argument, never challenging the validity of their talking points, which seemed to center around Ralph Nader's inane remarks concerning Obama/Jesse Jackson

this is why Obama is in trouble, despite all the rosy scenarios being painted

even his surrogates can't handle the well-trained wingnuts against whom they're fed like lambs to the slaughter

why am I watching this stuff?

13. I ranted all over that yesterday: why on EARTH is that man allowed ANY
airtime at all?

he ADVOCATES a father showering with his young son, so the boy can see the difference in PENIS size!!!

they read that right off his website today on Stephanie Miller, quote-unquote

here it is, from his own site:

Can Homosexuality be treated and prevented? !!!!!!!

http://www2.focusonthefamily.com/docstudy/newsletters/a000000264.cfm

Meanwhile, the boy's father has to do his part. He needs to mirror and affirm his son's maleness. He can play rough-and-tumble games with his son, in ways that are decidedly different from the games he would play with a little girl. He can help his son learn to throw and catch a ball. He can teach him to pound a square wooden peg into a square hole in a pegboard. He can even take his son with him into the shower, where the boy cannot help but notice that Dad has a penis, just like his, only bigger.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this man is allowed a forum, without any question?

he just spouts craziness, as he did yesterday, and they just put it up there?

where's Farrahkan? why can't he say McCain eats baby girls, and have that discussed without qualification for six days?

2. I mean, is it so difficult for ANY of them to just say, "STOP right THERE."
I reject the basis of your phony question, and you'll have to give me some more information about WHO conducted that focus group, and what the makeup of the was.

were they James Dobson droolers, assembled by Ralph Reed, or what?

they really need to start leveling the playing field, and QUIT allowin themselves to ALWAYS be put on the defensive

why can't they just turn the discussion around? all they have to do is change the subject, for one thing, the favorite tactic of pugs who can't answer substantively the question at hand

how difficult is it to employ that little trick, just for starters?

Pukes do it all the time. In this case, point out the likely bias of the source, and ask what the text of the questions was.

6. Most of the so-called "Obama surrogates" are not...
really. Typically, they're "Democratic strategists" with very little instinct other than getting some face-time. On other words, the "closer" the race, the better for them. Very little is Democratic about their strategy, IMO.

17. I missed the beginning of the exchange, but I HOPE that guy said, in response
to her charge that you won't see C and O together, something like this:

WHEN are you going to see Bush and McCain together, you ignorant slut?

then he could have said something about Bush being the worst president EVER, and that McCain voted WITH him A HUNDRED PERCENT of the time (this year). then if she said it's because he's on campaign, he could say, "sorry, he only voted with Bush NINETY FIVE percent of the time last year"

why aren't they just interjecting those facts into EVERY exchange

that's how Gore "lost"....repeating crap (lies, instead of truth being a key difference) about him over and over and over, til the public 'believed' he was a liar, stiff, uncomfortable in his own skin, etc.

18. Are they doing the "strategist vs. analyst" trick again?
I was watching MSNBC the other day, they were talking about Obama opting out of public financing. They had a "Democratic political analyst" on vs. a "Republican political strategist." When the host referred to the analyst as a strategist, she actually corrected the host and made sure that everyone knew she was an "analyst, not a strategist."

Seems like a minor difference, but the actual result was that the "analyst" ended up, well, analyzing the situation in a fairly non-partisan fashion, whereas the "strategist" spent the whole time shilling for McCain, yelling that Obama had gone back on his word and can't be trusted. The analyst didn't offer a rebuttal because that apparently wasn't in her job description.

See if you notice this happening in future.

Bernays would have been proud

it's the only way they 'win' elections

control the language/control the parameters of discussion, you almost always win the 'debate'

especially when you have moderators like Gibson, Stephanopoulos, Russert, Williams, Schieffer, Lehrer....need I go on?

23. by that I mean this:
a powerless, captive public, KNOWING they're being spoonfed a raft of lies, not knowing how to react, feeling impotent, resentment bubbling just under the surface

key difference is that we're too easily distracted by our 40 inch plasmas, and drive through Fatburgers. we need to REALLY have things put to us, which is clearly starting to happen

unfortunately, they have the 'boot on neck forever' drill almost completely in place by now

look out below

38. Actually I saw that one.... and couldn't figure why the Obama Op was not defending him with
good Talking Points. Your explanation makes sense. I finally had to turn of MSNBC. They turned their "Election Dial On"....and in election years it always goes to the Repug Dial.

They've been on a roll against Dems since Obama became nominee. They took a break for the endless Russert Wake...but came back roaring. And, CNN (the War Channel) is hardly better but there's a bit if news that's not Campaign Ops that creeps in once in awhile.

It's the stories they aren't covering and the repetition day after day of the same Campaign Talking points with MSNBC...that finally made me turn them off.

Thanks for the tip...

However, I sometimes scan the M$M for about 5 minutes to pick up the weekly 5-20 second talking points, just to monitor Big Brother.

I can handle Qlbermann for the first half hour, but that's abut it... and the Colbert Report, and sometimes the Daily Show.

30. Bleached Blonde Bimbo is Cheri Jacobus

She is famous for her atomic powered mouth and her ability to use it without apparently breathing. In some circles that might be a trait worthy of admiration or coveting.

She spits words faster than a machine gun and has the ability to keep on talking right over six people trying to get a word in edgewise.

Read her online bio ...... http://www.capitolstrategiespr.com/cherijacobus.html ..... it is waaaaay out of date and shows how little she's actually accomplished. Gilchrist ultimately would up being beaten in the Repubican primary and will soon be joining Ms Wilson (Cousin It?) in the bread line.

40. I grew up in an area full of people with names like
George Allen, who was an actual hs classmate. I had an ethnic-sounding name, and can speak from experience that it was no fun. It meant exclusion and isolation. A kid named "Barack Obama" in my high school would have been either ignored or made fun of or some combination of the two.

We'll find out in November how far America has come.
