FISA debate beginning NOW on CSPAN with Bernie Sanders
Source: CSPAN

Bernie Sanders beginning. He wants to strike the immunity portion of the Intelligence bill. He is stating the case now. He is putting it into perspective of what the administration has done since 9ll. "The do not understand what the constitution is about and they do not understand what international treaties are about". "From an administration that believes that they are an Imperial Presidency"

Heads up.

2. More from Sanders
"The right to dissent, the right to protest is the heart of what this debate is about ... We have seen data mining of personal records
.. we have seen extraordinary renditions ... People are looking at the United States of America and saying what is wrong with that great nation ... This is one of the reasons why respect for the US has gone down down down all over the world. "

Talking about political firings in office of attorney. "there has been a systematic attack on our Constitution".

4. "Trust me,
Verizon and these other tele co.s have a lot of lawyers and a lot of good lawyers ... The president is not the law, the law is the law, the Constitution is the law". Wonderful speech.
