The subject is fascism . . .
Up until three years or so ago, in my recollection, people would still argue with you if
you posted something and used the word "fascism" --- not anymore.

However, many people still have the idea that fascism isn't quite here yet ---
in their minds it's still coming. Sometimes I still refer to it that way myself.

This is something from 1996 ---

"We have fascism now. We don't call it that, but that's what you get when corporations own governments. The only democracy that American citizens are left with is the choice between
Fab or Tide. ABC, CBS, and NBC. Turn the channel to your favorite show, acess more cable
channels, but it's basically only a consumer choice.
It's merely a confort zone --- and if you're comfortable, there is no revolution,
not even much evolution!"

Oliver Stone
Speech Acceptance 1996 Humanist Arts Award of AHA

2. Everybody I mention it to gives me the eye roll
and I know they're thinking -- not gonna happen here.

And that's what I thought before Naomi Wolf laid it out for us.

5. Quote from Goebels:
"The best propaganda is that which, as it were, works invisibly, penetrates the whole of life without the public having any knowledge of the propagandistic initiative."
