McCain voted to impeach Clinton
I was surprised to find that nearly all the Republican Senators, including Hagel, also voted to impeach.

But what struck me most was the reasons McCain gave for his impeachment of Clinton. (you can google the whole letter):

"The circumstances that led to these offenses may be tawdry, trivial to some, and usually of a very private nature. But the President broke the law. Not a tawdry law, not a trivial law, not a private law."

"It seems clear to me, and to most Americans, that the President deliberately lied under oath, and that he tried to encourage others to lie under oath on his behalf."

It seems lying, lawbreaking and encouraging others to lie under oath to start a war, as this Administration did before Congress, are circumstances that must be very trivial indeed!

1. A nit-pick
Representatives vote to impeach. Senators vote to remove from office.

4. Nit Pick Squared
This was the way the Senate resolution actally read. "A resolution impeaching William Jefferson Clinton, President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors."

2. McCain continued...
..."Breaking the law is tantamount to calling Lady Justice a trollop or a cunt.

This should not stand."

3. And once Obama is elected, he will also vote to CONVICT as well
I have to be technical about it, but the house impeaches, the senate convicts

Yes, you read it here, first, the GOP will do all it can to Impeach Obama... that is SOP
