'Weeds spring up along median of Ronald Reagan Parkway'
Source: Indianapolis Star

PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- With hope and fanfare, Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman and others stood in the green, grassy median of the Ronald Reagan Parkway last summer and snipped a ceremonial ribbon to open the new road.

A year later, the $13 million, four-lane expressway off I-70 is working fine. Commuters and truckers driving to the town's industrial parks love it.

But the grassy median isn't so green anymore -- unless weeds count. The sod in the center island is dead for at least 1.7 of the two miles of the parkway between I-70 and U.S. 40.

Where the sod turned brown and cracked, weeds have grown up to 4 feet tall. Some are so high that they can hide passing cars.

8. This needs to be brought to the attention of one of Bush's best buds...
the former director of the Office of Management and Budget under Dubya, and present governor of Indiana, the honorable Mitch Daniels. :puke:

He has, after all; sold our main toll road to Australia, so that those funds could be used for highway improvement.

He also outsourced the New Castle Correctional Facility, and took in a bunch of prisoners from Arizona to save us lucky taxpayers loads of money! That didn't worked out so well either, as there was a riot a few weeks later.

Golly gee, there is even scuttlebutt circulating that he may be McSame's choice for VP. For everyone's sake, let's hope it is nothing more than that.

He too, could be described as a Bush 3rd term.
