19. I was raised southern baptist

which was back in the 70's when they were just zealous wackadoos and not yet up the ass of the gop. Back then they taught that it was a sin (blasphemy or heresy or something) to presume to know what god has done or what he was doing. Us lowly humans could never understand his plans (which tied into the supposed explanation over why there was so much suffering in the world)

Of course, as Jon Stewart so deftly pointed out earlier this week, these nuts are just opportunistic charlatans who twist the text of the bible to meet their own agenda (Dobson).

This church really has all the answers dont they? They KNOW Carlin is in "hell" and KO and Seinfeld are going to join him there. Except by their own tenets any of them could spare themselves an eternity in their hell (which I imagine looks like a mega church that you cant leave) by a deathbed acceptance of their religion.

These people are so far gone that they don't even follow their own rules. Didint Jesus teach us not to judge one another? Its too bad they dont put all this energy they spend attending funerals into helping the poor or something that their very own religion instructs them to do - helping those less fortunate.,

I think it is fair to say that Carlin showed more people how to treat and act toward each other than all the westboro and dobson nutjobs combined.
