Dem’s al Qaeda comment riles GOP
Posted: 12:18 PM ET

WASHINGTON (CNN) — At a contentious House committee hearing Thursday on harsh interrogation techniques for terror suspects, Democratic Rep. Bill Delahunt said he’s “glad” that vice president’s top aide was finally out in the open and visible even to al Qaeda, sparking outrage among Republicans at the White House and on Capitol Hill.

Republican Rep. Steve King of Iowa expressed dismay Friday, saying Delahunt was saying he was happy about the staffer becoming a “publicly televised target” of al Qaeda.

But Delahunt’s chief of staff said the Massachusetts congressman was simply trying to say he was glad David Addington, Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff, finally had to testify in the open about the administration’s policies.

4. So...
You think this Administration is not already a target? According to GOP Logic showing the person responsible for torture should make Al Qaeda tremble in their boots. Isn't that what all the bluster and arrogance is all about? He should be delighted that his face is known by those he contributed in the torture of..They should all be quaking about now....Or maybe that logic isn't what it's cracked up to be..one or the other..

2. Interesting
I was trying to think of something I'd like to happen to Addington. Being a target of Al Qaeda's an interesting possibility.
